How to Use the DCS-2310L Setup Wizard for Quick Installation
Setting up the D-Link DCS-2310L Outdoor HD PoE Network Camera is straightforward when using the official Setup Wizard. This software automates the detection and configuration process, allowing you to view your camera feed in just a few minutes. Step 1: Prepare Your Hardware
Before launching the software, ensure your camera is physically connected to your network. Connect an Ethernet cable to the camera’s network port.
Connect the other end to your PoE switch or a PoE injector linked to your router.
Confirm the LED light on the back of the camera turns solid green.
Ensure your computer is on the same local network as the camera. Step 2: Download and Launch the Setup Wizard
The Setup Wizard simplifies the installation by bypassing the need to know the camera’s IP address.
Download the DCS-2310L Setup Wizard from the official D-Link support website. Extract the downloaded zip file to your computer.
Open the application (usually named Autorun.exe or SetupWizard.exe).
Select your preferred language from the drop-down menu and click Start. Step 3: Run the Camera Detection
The software will scan your local network to find the hardware. Click Next on the welcome screen to initiate the search.
Wait for the wizard to display a list of connected D-Link cameras. Highlight your DCS-2310L from the list by clicking on it. Click Next to proceed to the configuration phase. Step 4: Configure Admin Settings and Network Mode
Securing your camera and assigning its network parameters happens in this step.
Create a secure password for the administrator account to protect your privacy. Choose between DHCP (Dynamic IP) or Static IP.
Select DHCP if you want your router to assign the IP address automatically.
Select Static IP if you need a permanent address for advanced port forwarding. Step 5: Bind to a mydlink Account
The wizard integrates your camera with the mydlink cloud service for remote viewing.
Select Yes when asked if you want to register the camera to a mydlink account.
Log in with your existing mydlink credentials, or select Create a new account.
Complete the registration to enable remote streaming via the mydlink mobile app or web portal.
Click Finish to close the wizard and view your live camera feed. To help customize this article, let me know:
