Create a Document: Open the program and launch a new project.

Input Song Data: Type in your song title, composer details, and copyright information.

Configure Layout: Select your instrument tracks, choose your starting time signature, set your key signature, and select an initial tempo. 2. Choose Your Note Entry Method

MagicScore provides multiple versatile ways to enter notes depending on your workflow preference:

Quick Input (Keyboard): Activate Quick Input on the Notes panel. Position the pitch cursor using the Up and Down arrow keys, and press number keys 1 through 8 to assign a note value (duration). Use Shift + [number] to input a rest.

Multiple Input (Mouse): Select your desired note duration from the menu bar, then click directly onto the staff lines to place the notes.

Virtual Instruments: Open the Virtual Piano or the Virtual Guitar Fretboard panels to click keys or frets, which instantly translates your performance into standard notation.

MIDI Devices: Connect an external MIDI keyboard or controller to capture real-time or step-time note data straight into your score. 3. Edit and Fine-Tune Your Notation

Pitch Adjustments: Click a note or move the cursor to it, then press Ctrl + Up or Ctrl + Down to raise or lower its pitch.

Accidentals: Press D to apply a sharp or B to apply a flat. Pressing D repeatedly cycles through a sharp, double sharp, or natural state.

Articulations: Hover over a note in Point Mode (using Active Focus) and tap quick hotkeys—such as S for staccato—to instantly attach expression markings.

Chord Construction: Use the built-in Chord Builder or custom chord templates to easily build and overlay complex harmonic accompaniments over your vocal melodies. 4. Add Lyrics and Text
